In the past 125 years, the YMCA has also grown and changed with the needs of our community. One need being quality childcare. With so many demands on today’s families, parents need all the support they can get. That’s why child care at the Y is about more than looking after kids. It’s about nurturing their development by providing a safe place to learn foundational skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships and build self-reliance through the Y values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and health. The YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties has five local, full-time Early Learning Centers and over 20 School Age Learning Centers, making it home to the largest child care program in the state of North Dakota, serving over 1,500 children each day. With all of the Youth Programs also available, there is something for every kid. They can meet new friends, build skills, develop interests and try new things in a supportive environment with caring adults. These programs emphasize values, sportsmanship, friendship and most of all, fun!
