Get Involved!
Getting the most out of your membership requires involvement. Here is a testimonial from a past president…
“For many years I was one of those builders who just paid his dues to the HBA and pretty much kept to himself – not realizing the opportunities I was missing. In the mid-1990’s, an HBA board member asked if I would be interested in serving on the association’s board of directors. Honored by the request, I accepted the nomination.
“Now, I realize how much fun it is to be involved with this organization and my business has reached a new level. Not only has involvement increased the professionalism of my company, I have grown as a person and collected a lot of valuable information that I’m able to pass on to my customers.
“These positive effects weren’t immediate, but as I put in time and effort, the HBA rewarded me with knowledge, resources, contacts and endless opportunities.
“By not being involved in my first years of membership, I thought I was receiving the same benefits as those who served on committees and took time to volunteer. Now I realize nothing could be further from the truth.”
