The Remodelors Council and Home Builders Care Foundation are partnering on a new project that is already proving to impact our community positively. Recently, the city of Fargo awarded the Home Builders Care Foundation $15,000 in Community Development Block Grants to help with the Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative. These funds will be used to purchase a home within the NRI zone that has fallen into disrepair, and the Remodelors Council will renovate the home. The Council’s interest in this project is to give back to the community and to showcase the remodeling industry. This project’s intent is to show the community that a dream home doesn’t always mean building new; through remodeling, one can transform a current home as far as the imagination reaches. Much of the success of this project will be dependant upon the generous donations of materials and labor by HBA of F-M members. If you are interested in helping revitalize an older Fargo neighborhood and showcase the remodeling industry through material donations or your skilled labor please contact Michelle Hovde at the HBA, (701) 232-5846 or michelle@hbafm.com.
