Dec. 12, 2022 - Home Builders Care of F-M Foundation has set the sights high for Giving Hearts Day 2023.

Our goal is to raise $100,000.

You all helped Home Builders Care of F-M Foundation raise over $33,000 in 2022, and we thank you for that!

We are teaming up with the F-M Area Association of Realtors for the first-ever Builder v. Realtor Challenge, stirring up some friendly competition. You’re invited to join the fun! We (area builders and Realtors) depend on each other for our livelihood and have been joining forces for years to build skilled workforce, ensuring that the housing industry thrives.

Who will raise the most on Feb. 9?

Together, we aim to hit $100,000 so Home Builders Care can continue inspiring talented future craftspeople, keeping housing attainable and accessible. Since beginning the scholarship program, Home Builders Care Foundation has given away $358,000 to students.

Which organization will take home the first “building the future” cup?

Any good competition needs a prize to enhance the bragging rights!

We are working on securing our match donors and I believe our Foundation can easily top last year’s number and reach 2023’s goal for Giving Hearts Day Feb. 9.

What we DID with it in '22

  • Your Foundation awarded scholarships to 16 students entering our industry.
  • You helped send collegiate students and two area high school construction teachers to experience the International Builders' Show.
  • Your Foundation supported the Herdina Construction Trades Camp in June which graduated 16 students and helped nurture their interest in trades-related careers.
  • We were able to be a key player in the Health, Tech and Trades Career Expo that attracted nearly 50 schools and gave almost 4,000 area high school students hands-on highlights of the construction industry.

Foundation volunteers have given their time and energy to the above projects. They have also been spending time at local high schools providing supplies, experience and information about Home Builders Care Foundation and the industry.

What we need to DO in '23

  • The Herdina Construction Trades Camp and is back in 2023 and we want to fill it with 24 students!
  • The Health, Tech & Trades Career Expo will once again be a major focus.
  • We have had more area schools ask us for help with their build projects and construction classes.
  • We were told that some of these classes are full and can’t expand any further as they have limited resources.
  • Schools have reached out asking how to start a program.
  • We are getting more requests for community build projects.

Your Foundation can lead these efforts. Your support on Giving Hearts Day, volunteering through the Foundation and lending your knowledge and experience are key to these efforts.
