Why should you join?

Dating back to 1956, the HBA of F-M provides an environment for industry professionals to prosper through support in seven areas: advocacy, information, benefits, education, making connections, marketing and workforce development.

  • ADVOCACY - Because of its network with government officials, the HBA is at the forefront of industry-related legislation, advocating in the building industry's favor.

  • INFORMATION - Stay up-to-date with the latest industry information. You will always be in the know with the HBA's Permits Plus, weekly emails and other communication.

  • BENEFITS - The HBA offers member benefits such as:

    • a self-funded health plan for industry members engaged in business near the Fargo-Moorhead area.

      • Regulations require that all health plans provide health care information that supports more informed decisions for receiving care. Information on the F-M Home Builders Health Plan & Trust can be found by visiting this Transparency in Coverage website from Blue Cross Blue Shield of ND.

    • a 401(k) PEP (Pooled Employer Plan) through Securian Financial to save you time and money,

    • an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through The Village and more.

  • EDUCATION - Earn continuing education credits at discounted rates as well as many ever-changing education classes through the HBA.

  • MAKING CONNECTIONS - Connect with industry peers in a non-competitive network through committees, events and volunteer work. The HBA offers an opportunity to expand your professional relationships.

  • MARKETING - Market your business to others in the industry though HBA publications, member-only events or consumer events like the Home & Garden Show, Parade of Homes, Downtown Living Tour and Remodeled Home Tour.

  • WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT - Help solve workforce issues by supporting Home Builders Care Foundation (HBA's charitable arm) through workforce development!
