2022 Home Builders Care of F-M Foundation President

Jan. 18, 2022 - Thirty thousand dollars may seem like a sizeable goal for your Foundation to raise. However, last year you all helped Home Builders Care of F-M Foundation raise almost $24,000 on Giving Hearts Day.

This year, we need your help to go even bigger.

Help us help you and let's pummel this goal.

These match donors and I believe our Foundation can easily top last year’s number and reach 2022’s goal for Giving Hearts Day Feb. 10.

What we DID with it in '21

  • Your Foundation awarded scholarships to 14 students entering our industry.
  • You helped send 22 collegiate students and two area high school construction teachers to experience the International Builders' Show.
  • We were able to be a key player in the Health, Tech and Trades Career Expo that attracted 37 schools and gave more than 3,700 area high school students hands-on highlights of the construction industry.

  • Our mission to give back to the community came through as a partnership with HBA’s Remodelers Council to help a local family with a needed wheelchair ramp for their home.
  • We also donated to Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity's “Spartan Build.”

Foundation volunteers have given their time and energy to the above projects. They have also been spending time at local high schools providing supplies, experience and information about Home Builders Care Foundation and the industry.

What we need to DO in '22

  • The Herdina Construction Trades Camp is back in 2022.
  • We have had more area schools ask us for help with their build projects and construction classes.
  • We were told that some of these classes are full and can’t expand any further as they have limited resources.
  • Schools have reached out asking how to start a program.
  • We are getting more requests for community build projects.

Your Foundation can lead these efforts. Your support on Giving Hearts Day, volunteering through the Foundation and lending your knowledge and experience are key to these efforts.
